THE EARLIEST YOU MAY SUBMIT WORK FOR OUR 2ND ANNUAL JURIED COMPETITION WILL BE OCTOBER 1ST, 2010. WE WILL TAKE SUBMISSIONS FROM OCTOBER 1ST, 2010 - DECEMBER 15TH, 2010.
Eligibility:
North to South is only open to residents of North or South Carolina. Professionals as well as students are encouraged to enter.
Media:
ALL SUBJECT MATTER IS WELCOME, keeping in mind this exhibit is a family friendly event. Original paintings of any media, drawings, monoprints, or photographs, completed within the last 2 years, and sculpture will be eligible. Works from published or copyrighted reference materials are not eligible. No pottery, glassware or other excessively delicate work may be submitted (please e-mail
art@green-rice.com with any questions concerning delicate submissions or use the Contact Us box below). No wall hanging pieces over 72"x72" in dimensions will be accepted, including frame. Sculpture must not exceed 6'x3'x3', and must be installed by Artist. All accepted work must be properly framed or gallery wrapped, and wired for hanging. Any work not meeting these expectations is subject to disqualification.
Submission Policy:
Each submission must be accompanied by a $30 non-refundable entry fee, payable by cashier's check, money order or cash. All checks or money orders must be made payable to Green Rice Gallery. The $30 entry fee allows up to 3 images to be submitted. (A maximum of 3 images are allowed per Artist.) All images must be at least 300dpi .jpgs, and must be labeled as follows: Entry#_medium_size. The CD itself must be labeled with Artist name and contact information. Each submission must also be accompanied by a completed entry form. Initially, submissions will be accepted by CD images. Upon selection, original artwork will be due to Green Rice Gallery for exhibition.

All accepted work must be available for sale, a 40% commission fee will be taken on any works sold during the exhibit.
All works will be selected for exhibition by a Judge based on their digital images. Acceptance/rejection notification will be sent via e-mail by January 12th, 2011. Prizes will be awarded on February 4th, 2011 during the Opening Reception and Award Ceremony from 7-9pm. Artists are encouraged but not required to be present in order to receive their award.
Accepted work must have Title, Medium, Artist Name, Address, Phone #, E-mail Address and Retail Price attached to the work itself. Artwork may be delivered or shipped to Green Rice Gallery upon selection for exhibition at the cost and risk of the Artist.
Artwork will be on display from February 1st - 27th, 2011.
Any unsold artwork must be picked up from Green Rice Gallery by March 11th, 2011.
